JERUSALEM (AP) — Hundreds of police officers are trying to find the suspect in the worst attack ever on homosexuals in Israel. The gunman shot and killed two people and wounded 11 at a youth club in Tel Aviv. Leaders from the prime minister to an ultra-orthodox politicl party have condemned th attack.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Military officials say tips from an Iraqi citizen, a jawbone and dental records have helped them find and identify the remains of the first American lost in the 1991 Persian Gulf War. The remains have been positively identified as Navy Capt. Michael "Scott" Speicher (SPY'-kur), whose disappearance has bedeviled investigators since his fighter jet was shot down on the first night of the war.
